Independence Day 2011 We had fun celebrating Independence Day this year! I, Maria, made a new decoration for us...a red, white and blue star bunting for above our fireplace. It turned out nice! Jared and Mama had some baking fun making a red, white and blue bundt cake. Super easy and fun! Then, on the 4th we went to our church for FITS (Fire in the Sky). Fireworks! It was fun! It was the first time for the girlies to see big fireworks. They LOVED it (along with the cotton candy Mama brought along as a treat ;) ). Although, our fireworks still don't hold a flame to the fireworks of North Dakota but we'll have to wait until the girlies are old enough for a road trip for that to happen again ;) Happy 4th!
Baking a 4th of July cake with Mam! Gotta lick the mixer paddle! Dyeing the cake batter red and blue All ready to pour into the bundt pan 1st red Then white And lastly blue Bake and it comes out looking cool! Dye some white frosting red and blue, pour the frostings over the cake, add red, white and blue sprinkles and it's done! Mmm! What's left over after the 7 of us have a slice of it ;) The kids on the 4th...Jared, Bethany, Suzan, Anna and Brielle Funny kids! We spent 1.5hrs swimming in our pool on the morning of the 4th. Now THAT'S the way to start off the 4th celebration! ;) "Fire in the Sky" (aka FITS) time at church! Suzan waiting patiently... Jared Anna Brielle And Bethany (along with Dad :) ) Some of Mama's favorites of the evening..."ooooo!" "ahhhhhh!" This one is cool how the sky lights up red. Green, for Bethany ;) Christmastime already? ;) I don't know what this one is called but it's cool looking And ones that are big and bright are always neat to see!
